Trigger Point Injection (TPI)

The injection procedure for trigger points takes only a few minutes to complete. Trigger point injections (TPI) are used to treat intense pain in muscles that contain trigger points. During the procedure, a small needle is inserted into the trigger point, and a local anesthetic, saline, or corticosteroid is injected to relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
